We exist not in a universe of purpose, but one of absurdity and misunderstanding. I look beneath the sentient puddle that is humanity, and watch the sun slowly evaporate us into nonsensical extinction.

Hawking: God did not create the Universe
Well it's about time Hawking said this explicitly. His new book, "The Grand Design" argues that god is simply an unnecessarily redundant idea. The universe is the result of the natural laws of physics, and when properly understood, the current state of the universe was inevitable. His new book looks promising, and will hopefully articulate a powerful unification of Einstein's theory of relativity and Quantum theory.
